Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Carpentry Calculator is a local-first iOS app. Core calculators work offline. We do not require an account, show ads, run usage analytics, or track you across apps and websites.

2. Information stored on your device

The following data stays on your iPhone and is not uploaded to our servers:

• Calculation history and saved results
• Project groupings for job records
• App preferences such as rounding denominator, IRC reference limits, and language choice
• Your choice about whether to allow network access for purchases and links

3. Information we do not collect

We do not operate a backend that stores your carpentry calculations or personal profile. We do not collect:

• Account registration details — no account is required
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or files from your device
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data
• Usage analytics or crash reports sent to third-party analytics providers (telemetry is disabled in the current app version)

4. When the app uses the network

Network access is only requested when you choose to:

• Purchase or restore the optional Pro upgrade through Apple's In-App Purchase system (processed by Apple and RevenueCat)
• Open links you tap inside the app, such as this privacy policy, terms of service, or support pages
• Send feedback email through the system Mail app

5. Purchases

Pro purchases are handled by Apple through In-App Purchase. We use RevenueCat to validate entitlements. Payment details are processed by Apple — we do not receive or store your credit card information. Apple's privacy policy governs payment processing.

6. Feedback email

If you choose to send feedback, the app opens your Mail client addressed to hi@codemxm.com. You control what you send. The app may optionally attach diagnostic details such as app version, device model, iOS version, and Pro status to help us troubleshoot — only if you send the email.

7. Website analytics

This website uses privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) to understand aggregate page views. Plausible does not use cookies for tracking across sites and does not collect personal profiles. Analytics data is not linked to your carpentry calculator app usage.

8. iCloud sync

iCloud sync is not enabled in the current version of Carpentry Calculator. Your calculation data remains on your device.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your rights

Because calculation data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting individual history entries or uninstalling the app. For privacy questions, contact us at hi@codemxm.com.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
